FAQs

Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind, often called trance, and we go naturally into a hypnotic trance many times a day, for example while getting absorbed watching a great movie or reading a good book, while closing our eyes and focusing on the first sip of our morning coffee, while listening to favorite music, gazing the ocean etc.

When hypnosis is used to deliver therapy is called Hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy is the natural state of mind in which an accredited Hypnotherapist offers suggestions in to the subconscious where deep and lasting changes can take place.

Clinical hypnotherapy can be a very relaxing experience for you and is a very effective treatment for many problems.

During a clinical hypnotherapy session I identify, using Strategic Psychotherapy framework, the patterns of behaviours that are not so helpful to you anymore.

Then, a hypnotic state of mind is initiated in order for the therapy to be delivered to you.

During the therapy I offer suggestions directly to your subconscious mind that replace the old patterns.

All the suggestions have been discussed and agreed beforehand.

Strategic Psychotherapy pays close attention to and seeks to change behaviours/habits. It focuses on “how do you do that”

Traditional Talk Therapies pay attention to “why do you do that”.

I use Strategic Psychotherapy as “Knowledge is not power, it is only potential. Applying that knowledge is power” (Lucy Njuguna, Master of Science)

Strategic Psychotherapy is a form of brief therapy which directs clients to have a quick and effective resolution to their problem.

It helps us identify the process of the problem being created and maintained and brings the focus to the underlying cause of the problem, not just the symptoms. It unmasks the point at which “goes wrong” in order to change it from its root.

NLP stands Neuro-Linguistic Programming which refers to the 3 key aspects of our Mind-Body-Emotion system.

The NLP is made up of:

-Neurology: our nervous system that help sense, smell, see and hear

-Linguistics: the language, tone and posture we use to talk to ourself (the inner voice that we all have)

-Programming: the patterns and habits our subconscious is running, the auto-pilot we are accustomed to and rarely challenge (driving the car, brushing out teeth etc)

By using NLP techniques, I can help you disrupt the patterns of the ineffective behaviors.

NLP + Strategic Psychotherapy + Clinical Hypnotherapy is a powerful combination to get you quick long-lasting results.

Hypnosis feels different everyone so there is not one way or right way to feel and experience the hypnotic state.

Many people say it is quite euphoric with a decent level of relaxation.

During Hypnotherapy, trance allows you to see from a safe distance not only your concern but also all the possibilities that have been out of your vision field.

You will be hyper aware of everything around you and everything inside you from an observer’s perspective, so you can easily and safely discover the option that suits you best!

Online hypnotherapy is not only as effective as face to face, it comes with benefits of being in the comfort of your nook and avoid the need of transportation with all that this entails.

Ιt gives you the opportunity to find the right therapist for your individual needs beyond the distance limitations.

All you need is a stable internet connection and some privacy.

Hypnotherapy is based on many years of Clinical Scientific Research. Some of the greatest names who crafted Hypnotherapy are famous Psychologists and Clinical Hypnotherapists such as Dr. S. Freud, Dr. C. Jung, Dr. M. Erickson, Dr. M. Yapko, and my mentor Gordon Young

MYTH: Hypnosis is like sleep

FACT: The hypnotized person is an awake active participant, most likely with eyes closed, who remains responsive and aware of their surroundings.

MYTH: The hypnotist will be able to control my mind and make me do things against my will

FACT: No one can control your mind. You can dismiss any suggestion that doesn’t resonate with you

MYTH: There is a risk to get stuck in a trance

FACT: You can open your eyes, stretch, speak or even get up and leave at any time you wish to

MYTH: Hypnosis is a “Miracle Cure”

FACT: There is no such thing as a one-time “Hypno-Miracle”. Every individual makes progress at their own pace

MYTH: Some people can’t be hypnotized

FACT: Hypnosis is a natural state of consciousness, which naturally occurs to everyone several times per day. Each one of use are responsive to different approaches and some people may have the misconception that it doesn’t work for them because of an unsuccessful experience they’ve had with a hypnotist

Hypnosis is a normal and naturally occurring state of mind.

Every single one of us is naturally in hypnotic trance more than 10 times per day like while driving to work and not remembering a part of the journey, when you stare out of a window daydreaming, when you close your eyes drinking your first sip of your morning coffee etc.

These are all forms of hypnotic states where you are completely aware and absolutely in control.

The same level of awareness and control you maintain, also, during your hypnotic sessions.
